From the moment you step onto campus, you’ll discover lots of ways to meet the friends that will stick with you for the rest of your life. Before you know it, Summit will truly be your second home.

First Year Experience

Your first year at Summit is more than an introduction, it’s the foundation for everything that follows. In this season, you’ll begin to develop the habits and rhythms that shape your time here, from prioritizing daily time with the Lord to engaging deeply in classes and chapel. It’s a year of discovery and learning what it means to live in Christian community while you explore how your gifts and passions align with God’s calling on your life.

This first year is also where relationships take root. The friends you make, the mentors who pour into you, and the experiences you share create a supportive network that will walk with you through challenges and celebrate your growth. Spiritually, it’s often a year of breakthrough as you set aside distractions, focus on Scripture, and allow God to speak into every part of your journey. By the end of your first year, we trust that you will know yourself and your Savior more deeply and feel ready to step confidently into your next season.

Life on Campus

Life on campus has a natural rhythm. Mornings usually begin with personal devotions and time in God’s Word before heading to breakfast, classes, and chapel. Afternoons might look different for each student. Some head to electives or seminars, others join student clubs, hit the gym, or catch up with friends over lunch. Students participate in campus care several times a week, helping keep the campus clean while building responsibility and shared ownership. Evenings vary depending on the day, with opportunities to relax, study, or join campus events. Dinner in the dining hall, coffee at Roosters, study time in the library, or taking an online course with Lancaster Bible College all offer ways to engage and grow. Many nights also bring campus events, including bonfires, movie nights, open mics, or theology discussions, giving you the chance to relax, grow, and make memories with friends.
